With our mobile devices being some of our most personal pieces of
technology, and the launcher as one of the most frequented part of the
device, it is with no doubt that we’d want to personalize our launcher
to suit our unique taste in music, philosophy, feelings, and thoughts.
That’s why we have that particular wallpaper or spend so much time
customizing those widgets, and why Facebook Home
exists. Unfortunately, the aforementioned launcher was a less than
average attempt at doing so, forcing us to trade our own wallpapers and
widgets for bloated and pixelated faces of people we haven’t spoken to
in years.
But lose no hope, as there’s now a launcher called Everything.me that does it right. Shared with us by XDA Senior Member iJohnny.
Everything.me aims to be as dynamic and adaptable as it can without
going over the top, packing several unique features we’ve never seen
before. One of them is the ‘What’s on your mind?’ search bar ever
present in the center home screen. By searching any keyword that pops up
in your head, be it News, Funny, Social, or Bahamas, the launcher will
transform your center home screen into an app drawer-like interface
displaying anything that may be related, such as apps and songs. It’ll
also pull up any apps that you don’t have installed, which if they
interest you, can be accessed without even an installation.

Additionally, Everything.me cleverly organizes your installed apps
and apps of interest into various categories called Smart Folders,
allowing you to reach, lets say, all social networking apps by opening
the Social smart folder. And don’t think there’s no smart folder for a
certain interest or taste, as the list is very extensive, ranging from
astrology and history to restaurants and shopping and (almost) anything
imaginable in between. A custom image of your chosen category serves as a
background to the smart folders, which is an additional pleasant perk.
Despite still being in beta, Everything.me is possibly the most
unique and personalized launcher I’ve come across. The dynamic nature
of the launcher thanks to its ‘Whats on your mind?’ feature and smart
folders is a welcome breath of fresh air at a time when our smartphones
and tablets are more personalized than ever. If you’d like to give this a
go, you can download the launcher from mirror
